Are you ready? Well then... Ahem! I must clear my throat first. Really fast now...

Around a year and a half ago, I went to a friends house and there was a ukulele on the coach. Their dad saw me marvel at the ukulele and he showed me a few chords. I was like, "This is awesome!" So when I got home, I remembered that there was a ukulele in my closet from a trip to the Bahamas with the Boyscouts. It was a decoration/playable uke, so I had to literally tape the tuning pegs to make them stay in tune. I learned "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz for my first song and spent hours just on strumming so that I hit every string on each individual strum. Then, I started looking up YouTube videos to help me learn. Look up "Ukulele Mike" on youtube- he'll get you on the right track. Plus, he's just a pretty cool guy in general to learn from. After learning more songs, I got a sweet "Luna Honu Ukulele" from Luna Guitars on Amazon. After a little under a year, a got an even better one, a koa wood "Oscar Schmidt" ukulele. I love this ukulele- jamming never felt better.

So, that's how it started! How will your story begin?
